Trauma is unfortunately an inevitable part of life. It can come in the form of small trauma and big trauma. Whether you have experienced one or the other, or both, what is most important is understanding it and then having the skills to process it before it becomes problematic.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about how the brain responds to acute trauma and what happens to the traumatised brain over time from a neuroscience perspective. In this workshop you will also learn to build skills in identifying trauma, addressing developed trauma as well as protect yourself from trauma that arises in the future.
No matter what your background is professionally or personally, you will gain a whole new insight into how our beautiful brains work in these circumstances and how we can help ourselves and others through having a deeper understanding.
What you will be learning on the day:
Basic brain anatomy
Introduction to trauma
How acute trauma affects the brain
Long term affects of trauma on the brain
How to help your brain process acute trauma
